Kelley Mansion

Stonebridge in Lake Bluff, Illinois, was built in 1916 for William V. Kelley by the architect Howard Van Doren Shaw, with prolific landscape architect Jens Jensen involved in curating the grounds. The current owners submitted a proposal to raze the old estate to make room for 98 new single-family homes, at the disapproval of neighbors who would prefer to see the property preserved.
